Maintenance Supervisor - Owosso, MI
Job Description
Job Description
Plant Maintenance Supervisor
Run the maintenance operation for a plant that depends on you to keep production moving. This role owns the full maintenance function - PM schedules, equipment repair, spare parts inventory - and leads a team of Maintenance Technicians who look to you for direction. You'll report to the Plant Manager and have real authority over how the department runs day to day.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You're on the floor troubleshooting equipment, and you're also building the systems and people that keep uptime high long after you've walked away from a repair.
What you'll own:
- Direct and complete all scheduled Preventive Maintenance work
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems
- Keep spare parts inventory stocked and organized
- Manage UPTIME performance for the plant
- Build and mentor your team through hands-on training and company programs
- Set the safety standard: PPE compliance, safe forklift operation, a clean and organized facility
- Communicate directly with plant personnel and support services on projects and priorities
What you bring:
- 5-10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing
- Plastics and injection molding experience
- A track record of mentoring and developing people, not just managing tasks
- Solid mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
- Strong time management and the ability to prioritize on the fly
- Basic computer skills and comfort with inventory systems
- High School or Vocational School diploma or equivalent
Schedule: 40+ hours a week, weekend flexibility as needed, plus on-call availability for repairs.
If you're the person your current team already comes to when something breaks, this role gives you the authority and resources to fix it right the first time — and build a team that does the same.
