We are looking for a dependable Test Center Administrator to support daily exam operations. This is a long-term contract, part-time opportunity with variable hours, generally around 20 hours per week, and schedules are provided two weeks in advance. The person in this role will help create a secure, organized, and welcoming testing environment while assisting candidates with care and attention to detail. Flexibility is essential, including availability for Saturday shifts and occasional evening or Sunday coverage based on site needs.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome test takers, confirm identity documentation, and guide them through check-in procedures with a detail-oriented and courteous approach.
• Administer security screening steps, including the use of handheld screening devices, to protect the integrity of the testing environment.
• Observe candidates throughout their exams and respond promptly to concerns, irregularities, or policy-related issues.
• Keep testing materials, workstations, and exam areas secure at all times to maintain compliance with operational standards.
• Document incidents accurately and escalate exceptions or misconduct concerns according to established procedures.
• Support a fair and comfortable experience for every candidate by providing clear instructions and consistent service.
• Perform administrative support tasks such as scanning documents, handling basic clerical work, and assisting with office organization.
• Assist with packing, unpacking, or moving testing-related equipment and supplies when needed, following safety guidelines.
• Adapt to changing scheduling needs across site operating days, including weekdays, Saturdays, and occasional evening or Sunday hours, Saturdays required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional college coursework is a plus.
• At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience in settings such as retail, hospitality, reception, or similar environments is required.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement for the position.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with candidates and team members.
• Comfortable using Windows-based computers and common business applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web browsers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintain accurate records, and complete detailed written reports.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk the testing room regularly, remain seated or standing for extended periods, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Visual ability to monitor computer screens and camera displays, and physical agility to work around office and lab equipment safely.
