Job Summary
A leading organization is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to support a large-scale PC refresh and deployment initiative. This role involves deploying and configuring desktop and laptop systems, installing peripherals, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing onsite support to end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure Windows desktop and laptop systems
- Perform PC imaging, hardware setup, and peripheral installations
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network/connectivity issues
- Update service tickets, track IT assets, and maintain deployment documentation
- Provide onsite technical support and excellent customer service during deployments
- Ensure timely completion of refresh schedules and project milestones
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Desktop Support or PC Deployment experience
- Experience with Windows imaging, desktop hardware, and troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain one)
- Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise or government desktop refresh projects
- Knowledge of tools such as SCCM, MDT, Intune, or Autopilot
