As a Security Officer Access Screening Gate in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, manage access for employees and visitors, and support security-related protocols with professionalism and care. In this highly visible role, you will help to deter incidents through strong communication, attention to detail, and a reliable presence, while delivering exceptional service rooted in teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or team members by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points at the location by verifying credentials, authorizing entry and exit, and documenting visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity in accordance with site guidelines.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site leadership and/or emergency contacts as needed.
- Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or policy violations by maintaining awareness of dock areas, entry gates, employee entrances, and other restricted parts of the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including shipping, receiving, parking, and warehouse-related areas, as working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
