The Facilities and Equipment Maintenance Technician’s job entails performing troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance and installation on a variety of processing equipment throughout our facility including chemical etching line. He/she will assist with the development and optimization of preventive maintenance schedules, as well as assist the Maintenance Lead, Engineers, and Neutralization department to gather and evaluate process and equipment data, among others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Maintain inventory control of parts.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, repairs and preventive maintenance
- Disassemble, clean and reassemble various sub-assemblies as part of preventive maintenance
- Tend to facilities maintenance requests outside the production area, assign priorities and completion dates.
- Work closely with Process Development and Production Management to coordinate maintenance around R&D and production schedules.
- This position will require flexibility in schedule at times for training and coverage purposes.
- Supporting the neutralization department.
- Supporting the production department.
Skills and Specifications
- Must have at least 4 years of experience in maintenance/repair of production equipment
- Electrical troubleshooting skills
- Familiar with chemical handling equipment and parts
- Diaphragm pump repair and rebuilding skills
- Familiar with chemical scrubbers
- Knowledge of RO/DI systems
- Previous hands-on technical experience and wet bench system experience is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management
- Must have strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Intermediate proficiency in computer skills, specifically working with spreadsheets
- Strong attention to detail.
Education and/or Experience
· High School Diploma, but trade school degree is preferred.
· Minimum of 4 years of equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
· Familiarity with Wet Line equipment.
Language Skills
English basic language skills are a plus preferred.
Mathematical Skills
Basic math is preferred.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to identify problems and communicate them to the respective department lead.

Ø While testing or inspecting, repeatedly holds silicon pieces of up to 1.8 lbs in weight with one hand for periods of 3-5 seconds at a time intermittently.
Ø Constant twisting of waist and wrists during this task.
