Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Intern performs a variety of skilled duties in one or more building trades, such as painting, carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing, drywall or other recognized crafts for purposes of maintaining, repairing or remodeling all owned and leased buildings and facilities to include HVAC and other mechanical systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
High School or GED
Experience
None
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration
Florida driver’s license required.

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills that allow the incumbent to work effectively with co-workers and vendors.
- Must adhere to all safety standards and established work practices.
- Should be well organized and able to adjust to changing job requirements.
- Must be able to remain calm during stressful situations.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, pull, stretch, sit, stand, climb, and walk.
