We are seeking a Custodian to join our team! You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Responsibilities:
- Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition
- Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors and shampooing rugs
- Perform routine maintenance tasks
- Organize custodial closets and spaces
- Maintain agency grounds to include yard work, trash removal, and snow removal, using hand-operated tools or small power equipment. Perform outside repairs as appropriate.
- Maintain working condition of cleaning equipment
- Perform make-ready tasks in vacated apartment units
Qualifications:
- 2 years previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, floor care or other related fields
- Ability to handle physical workload and observe cleaning instructions and material safety sheets
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Must possess a valid Missouri Driver's license and be insurable under the Company automobile policy

Located in a residential neighborhood in northwest St. Louis City, Hope House STL is a 32,000 square foot complex consisting of 50 housing units, administrative offices, an on-site Child Development Center, and a multi-purpose Family Learning Center. A small food pantry is maintained for families entering the program and may need food on an emergency basis.
