As a Security Officer Visitor Verification in Moss Landing, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic education location where you will help support access control operations, monitor activity, verify credentials, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor entrances, verify identification and/or authorization, manage visitor check-in procedures, and help to control access to designated areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and support security-related protocols.
- Assist students, staff, faculty, and visitors with directions, information, and reporting procedures while maintaining awareness of access points and location expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
