About the Opportunity

Altech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Technical Engineer to support NASA enterprise operations. This is a senior technical role for an experienced engineer who can provide architectural leadership while remaining hands-on with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS), Linux, OpenShift, enterprise integrations, and automation.

The successful candidate will work with cross-functional technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure a secure, scalable, and highly available MAS environment supporting NASA’s enterprise mission.

Responsibilities

Lead installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and administration of IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
Provide technical leadership for enterprise Maximo architecture and platform design.
Configure, support, and troubleshoot MAS environments across Development, Test, Staging, and Production.
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise integrations using the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST APIs, and secure API management.
Develop automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
Support Linux operating systems, including scripting, system administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Configure and support OpenShift Container Platform environments used for enterprise MAS deployments.
Configure and support Maximo Mobile, including SSO authentication and Maximo Application Framework (MAF).
Support Microsoft Entra ID user synchronization and authentication services.
Design and maintain BIRT reports, Microsoft Power BI dashboards, and enterprise reporting solutions.
Develop data models supporting business intelligence and operational reporting.
Utilize Jira Service Management or similar platforms to manage technical issues and service requests.
Prepare and present technical information to project leadership, management, and customer stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure platform stability, security, and performance.

Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship (required).
Ability to obtain and maintain a NASA Public Trust.
Must reside within 50 miles of a NASA Center.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of hands-on IBM Maximo technical engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) architecture.
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, upgrading, patching, and troubleshooting MAS.
Extensive experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and REST API integrations.
Experience developing automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
Advanced Linux administration, scripting, and performance tuning experience.
Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and containerized enterprise application deployments.
Experience configuring and supporting Maximo Mobile and Maximo Application Framework (MAF).
Experience integrating Microsoft Entra ID and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
Extensive experience with BIRT reporting, Microsoft Power BI, and data modeling.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using Jira Service Management or similar issue-tracking platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience supporting NASA or other Federal Government Maximo environments.
Experience designing enterprise integration architectures.
Experience supporting large enterprise MAS deployments.
Experience with MAS licensing and user synchronization.
Experience with high-availability architectures, performance tuning, and observability tools.
Experience with IBM TRIRIGA and/or Maximo Real Estate & Facilities (MREF).
IBM Maximo Certifications (Certified Deployment Professional, IBM Certified Administrator, or similar).
